The Indian Green Building Council has given Dholera SIR a platinum certification, making it India’s first greenfield industrial smart city. Airports Authority of India (AAI) has prepared a Feasibility Report and has obtained all necessary permissions.
Dholera International Airport is planned to cater to DSIR & its hinterland, as well as traffic overflow from Ahmedabad International Airport. There will be two runways so that long-haul aircrafts such as the A380 can land there. An Indian government agency has set up a tender to handle the first phase of the project, which includes a runway, taxiway, apron, etc. A public-private partnership will carry out the project, and it will be completed within three years.
Network & Road Management
For efficient circulation/movement of people and goods, various categories of roads (ranging from 18 m ROW to 70 m ROW) are constructed.
